Ferrer Ojeda Acquires Broking Firm

Ferrer Ojeda announces the acquisition of Unibrok Insurance Broker.

This acquisition makes UNiBA Partner Ferrer Ojeda one of Spain’s largest insurance brokers. The company serves approximately 3,000 corporate clients and 40,000 individual clients with over 150 staff generating in approximately 90 million Euros turnover.
In addition to its head office in Barcelona and a strong network of offices across Catalonia Ferrer Ojeda also has offices in Madrid and Sevilla.

Unibrok was previously owned by troubled mutual insurer Mutual Agrupacion Mutua. The latter had run into financial difficulties and was effectively administered by the Spanish regulator who had ordered a divestment of all non-strategic operating entities. ‘This acquisition shows that the local governement of Catyalunya, have put their trust in us’ says Juan Lopez Sans (photo), board member of Ferrer Ojeda.
