Terrible flash floods on Thursday have taken lives and turned parts of Istanbul into a disaster area.
Nihan Uzun, IBS' Intl Desk Manager, says 'Our office is located far away from the flood areas, therefore we did not have any trouble ourselves but according to the weather forecast, the rain is going to start again in a few hours. Obviously the city is very anxious and here in the office everyone is trying to be cautious.
We, IBS staff and families are ok, but some of our families’ houses were flooded, making it impossible for them to leave.'
